Simplified Custom Selections

When users choose to customize a product, the "Add to Bag" button changes to "Customize." Upon clicking, a separate customization page slides in, allowing users to focus solely on personalizing their product. This prevents distractions and keeps the main product page uncluttered, improving focus and engagement.

Real-time visual feedback via preview images

As users make their selections, a preview image updates in real-time to reflect those choices. This feature provides immediate visual confirmation, helping users feel more confident in their selections and reducing the likelihood of mistakes.

Hover-and-Buy

Users can quickly add items to their cart without needing to visit the product page, streamlining the shopping process. It saves time and clicks, allowing users to browse and shop more efficiently, which can improve their overall experience and satisfaction.

Save for Later

Before the Check-out page, users can save items of interest for future reference without the need for an immediate purchase, allowing for better planning and easy access to their preferred products later.

This approach alleviates decision-making pressure, enabling users to explore and select products at their own pace, which reduces decision fatigue and enhances their overall shopping experience.

Finding Balance: Minimal but Informative
Finding Balance: Minimal but Informative

Given that the brand targets a younger audience, we aimed to create content that is minimalistic and clean. As a jewelry brand, it was essential to present a wealth of information to users without overwhelming them. Through this project, I deepened my understanding of how e-commerce websites should function and the cognitive psychology principles behind effective website design. I learned that prioritizing and organizing information is a critical skill for a designer, ensuring that the user experience remains intuitive and engaging

This project was a challenging yet rewarding experience that emphasized the importance of teamwork and communication. As a long-term project, we had to continuously align on design direction and make compromises to balance user needs with technical constraints.

Open discussions and A/B testing helped us refine our choices and find common ground. I learned the value of flexibility and collaboration, ensuring that our decisions remained focused on creating a user-centered, impactful design while fostering a productive team dynamic.
