My Korean name "Seoyun Cho" means “to unfold deeply and widely,” which feels fitting. I’ve moved often and attended a different school nearly every stage of my life — across cities, countries, and communities. That constant change shaped how I see the world: with openness, adaptability, and a quiet sensitivity to how people experience their environments. It also taught me how to listen, observe, and build bridges that naturally led me to design.
This Fall, I’ll be joining the MHCI+D program at the University of Washington to deepen my work in human-centered design and explore how we can use technology to support wellness, accessibility, and community.
Outside of work, I’m an avid skater ⛸️, cafe explorer ☕, swimmer 🏊🏻♀️, and animal lover <3. I love collaborating with curious, thoughtful teams who care about great design and the people it's made for.

Q&A
What is your favorite thing to do?
I'm a passionate learner who loves picking up new skills. It might sound a little boring, but recently I've been getting into CSS and JavaScript, and it's actually been really fun. One of my favorite things to do is hang out at Variety Coffee Roasters in Manhattan with my friend and work on personal projects.
If you weren’t a designer, what would you be?
Probably surgeon. I was always fascinated by anatomy and imagined myself easing people’s pain. But well I chose pixels over scalpels—and I love it, because I still get to solve problems and make a meaningful impact on the community.
What’s your favorite way to unwind?
When I need to recharge, I just hang out with friends, grab my favorite mango fruit tea from Heytea, and take a walk around Hudson Yards. There’s something about the Manhattan skyline at night—it just clears my head and makes everything feel a little lighter.
